MX Lookup
Check a domain’s mail (MX) records — priorities, mail-server IPs and the detected email provider — instantly and free.
How it works
- 1
We query the domain’s MX records over DNS-over-HTTPS (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1).
- 2
We sort them by priority (lowest first = primary) and resolve each mail server to its IP addresses.
- 3
We match the MX hostnames against known providers — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Yandex 360 and more.
FAQ
What is an MX record?
MX (Mail Exchanger) records tell other servers where to deliver email for your domain, in priority order.
What does the priority mean?
Lower numbers are tried first; equal priorities share the load. The lowest-numbered host is your primary mail server.
Why is there no MX record?
The domain may not be set up to receive email, or it uses a “null MX” (0 .) to explicitly reject mail.
Can you alert me when MX changes?
Yes — DNS monitoring covers MX. Add the domain in @gmediatoolsbot and we alert you in Telegram when A/AAAA/MX/NS/TXT records change.
