Is it free?

Why RDAP and not classic WHOIS?

RDAP returns structured, standardized data and is ICANN-mandated for gTLDs.

What does DNSSEC “signed” mean?

It means the domain is cryptographically signed at the registry (DS record present), which protects against DNS spoofing.
